Multimodal imaging system for ASNOM – CLSM – pump & probe nanoscopy
In the frame of the EU Project “FP7-NMP-2011-SME-5/Label Free Nanoscopy Using Infra Red Absorbtion (LANIR)” and the national project “PN-II-PT-PCCA New methods and investigations protocols for the early diagnosis, efficient screening, prognostic and therapy of non-melanoma skin cancers based on existing and novel micro & nano optical tools”, CMMIP-UPB has developed in-house a multimodal system that enables imaging correspponding field-of-views of investigated samples by multiple far-field and near-field imaging techniques: Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy (CLSM), Two-Photon Excitation Fluorescence Microscopy (TPEF), Second Harmonic Generation Microscopy (SHG), Saturated Transient Absorption Pump & Probe Microscopy (STA), Scattering-type Scanning Near-Field Optical Microscopy (s-SNOM), tip-enhanced Fluorescence (TEF/FASNOM), tip-enhanced Second Harmonic Generation (SHG-SNOM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). The contrast mechanisms of the incorporated imaging techniques provide complementary information, which plays an important role in facilitating nanoscale data understanding and interpretation.
